Gurunavi Group is comprised of Gurunavi, Inc. and four subsidiary companies. Gurunavi, Inc. operates Gurunavi, a restaurant search website that allows users to access a wide range of free information on restaurants from platforms such as PCs and mobile phones including smartphone. Gurunavi also markets internet-based PR and sales promotion services and other support services to restaurants.
We are continuing to drive user base growth by developing ever more appealing website content, which in turn increases Gurunavi's value as a PR and sales promotion tool. Gurunavi provides diverse support services to restaurants, including: sales promotion support by member restaurant sales staff; visiting staff; Gurunavi academy (which offers courses in sales promotion to restaurants); Gurunavi Journal (a Gurunavi-published information magazine for restaurants); event planning; GON (marketing data); and Gurunavi PRO for Restaurants (member restaurants management system).
We are pursuing higher earnings by expanding these core businesses and strengthening related businesses. As a result of these efforts, as of March 31, 2016, Gurunavi had 500,000 listed restaurants, of which 56,967 were paid member restaurants. In addition to operating the Gurunavi services described above, Gurunavi Group engages in restaurant promotion business through Gurunavi Promotion Community Inc., and overseas business through Gurunavi Shanghai Inc., food-related research and information business through Gurunavi Research Institute, Inc., and offers work-related contracts and welfare services through Gurunavi Support Associe, Inc.
